Sugar Ray

This big guy is a little lost without his owner, who had to give him up due to health problems. He's very friendly and affectionate, a definite lap cat. He would prefer to be the only cat in the house, but could probably tolerate another cat if he had to -- he's getting better with other cats at the center. Sugar Ray was born March 1998. He has allergies and is on a special diet. He is neutered and up-to-date on shots. He is a very gentle and loving kitty, who needs somebody to love and look up to so much.

Lady Spencer

Lady Spencer, named for the late Princess Diana (pre-marriage), is a cat with "Cattitude!" She is 4 years old, born on February 1998, and has a beautiful medium-length buff coat. Lady Spencer does not like other cats but just loves dogs. She is a sweet kitty who hates the life at the shelter, where she is surrounded by so many cats. Can you rescue her? She would be best in a home with no small children, and no other cats.

Cherie

This black beauty was born December 2000. She has gorgeous green eyes and a white cross on her chest. Her foster moms say that she is very playful, inquisitive, with a lot of energy and eager to bond with them. Cherie loves humans, but distrusts other cats. She is very friendly and affectionate, however, surrounded by so many cats at the shelter she appears uptight and defensive. But dont let the appearance mislead you, if you dont plan to have more than one cat Cherie is the best kitty you could ever dream of. Cherie needs a good, stable home where she would always be the only cat and had all your attention just for herself
Buddy

Buddy is an orange, neutered male, born October 1998. He had a rough start, probably being abused or neglected as a kitten. Consequently, he needs a home where he will get the attention he needs but where he will not be overwhelmed by the activity and noise level. Buddy has been fostered with five other cats so he has had exposure to cats, but not to dogs.
If you are a real animal lover willing to spend some time to create the bond with Buddy (we may suggest a couple of bonding techniques), please give us a call, Buddy is waiting for you...

Chloe

Chloe is a beautiful grey female with a small white bib under her chin. She has very soft, medium length fur and gorgeous fluffy tail. She came to us with her sister Sophie, and when Sophie got adopted in 2001, poor Chloe was in real dispair. For this reason we think that she will do better in a home where there is already another cat(s) to keep her company. Chloe is a very sweet, very affecionate and friendly kitty, she is the favorite of many of our volunteers, and we cannot believe she has been overlooked for so long -- she has the distinction of being the cat who's been with us longest...since Feb 2001. She is very vocal, talks to anyone who would only listen, follows us like a little puppy and craves attention so much. If you are looking for a playful, sweet, petite kitty to add to you family, please consider adopting our little Chloe.
Pewter

desperately seeking Susan.Sally.Sam.SOMEONE
who will take a chance with me. Im a shy, but playful, silken-coated, slate-gray lady who has been exposed to Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). FIP is one of the most confounding of the cat diseases and for which there is no cure. Im healthy as can be, but I may, or may not, be carrying the virus that causes this terrible disease. There is no test that can tell us for sure, and this puts me in a terrible fix. The PAWS people can tell you more. What it means, though, is that I need a home where there are no other cats and where I can stay indoors. If I am carrying this virus, I would not be contagious to people, dogs or other animals, but I could be contagious to other cats. Id prefer a quiet, easy-going, adult home. Thats just my style.it has nothing to do with this dumb FIP thing.
I need love and attention so badly. Im only 1-1/2 years old, but Im spending my time confined to one room, cause my foster family has a ton of other cats. It would take me a little while to get used to a normal life. Humans have done some weird things to me and Im still a little scared of them. Once I adjust, though, youll have a sweet young gray girl waiting for you every night with open paws. Please.at least talk to the PAWS people, and give me a chance to win your heart.
